A quiet balance between refinement & comfort
Terra House by Brahman Perera is a deeply personal interior shaped by travel, art and memory — a home layered with objects and materials that speak to a life well lived.
Located in Melbourne’s Hawthorn, the residence brings together earthen textures, sculptural pieces and collected artworks to create a space that feels both elegant and familiar. Indigenous sculpture, woven elements and expressive artworks form the foundation of the interior narrative, grounding the home in warmth and tactility while celebrating the client’s personal history.
Materiality plays a central role throughout. Concrete, charred timber and soft planting establish a calm structural framework, allowing natural light and layered textures to animate the spaces. From sunken lounge areas designed for gathering to intimate hallways filled with art, each moment feels intentional — a quiet balance between refinement and comfort.
Bathrooms continue this tactile story. Stone, timber and soft finishes create spaces of pause, where everyday rituals become part of the home’s sensory rhythm. Within this setting, our Ecru Dot bath and hand towels introduce a gentle woven texture and natural tone that echo the interior palette. Their softness complements the layered materials, reinforcing the home’s sense of warmth and lived-in elegance.
Terra House ultimately reads as a celebration of collecting — a home where objects carry meaning, textures invite touch, and design supports the evolving life of a family.
