Barwon Heads House by Adam Kane Architects

Barwon Heads House by Adam Kane Architects is conceived as a quiet coastal retreat — a home defined by restraint, texture and a deliberate interplay of light and shadow.

Reviving an existing weatherboard cottage and extending it with a barn-like volume, the design leans into natural materiality to create spaces that feel grounded and meditative. Dark and light elements shape the experience of movement through the home, while generous openings connect the interiors to the surrounding landscape, reinforcing a calm dialogue between built form and nature.

Within this tactile environment, our Linen bath towel and an archival hand towel sit comfortably among the home’s tonal palette. Their natural texture echoes the material honesty of the interiors, supporting the quiet rituals of everyday living within this coastal sanctuary.

A study in simplicity and atmosphere, Barwon Heads House celebrates enduring materials and the restorative power of thoughtful design.
